On October 9th, 2010 Jessica Lutton-Bedient, was hit by a drunk driver and passed a few days later. Jess was such an inspirational woman who lived everyday to the fullest and always strived to "Pass it on." Jess devoted much of her time and energy to helping many humanitarian causes both in her community and around the world.

This spring we want to keep Jess' spirit alive by passing it on. Alpha Phi and Farmhouse wiill be hosting a 5-k to raise money to help Chase Jess' Dream. The money raised will go towards building a school in Tanzania, a place where 'school' is a foreign concept. We encourage all of you to sign up for Jess' 5-k on April 10 to raise awareness for drunk driving as well as help change the lives of children in Tanzania.

We also challenge you to run with us in the Lincoln half/full marathon on May 1 in honor of Jess. With your help we can Chase Jess' Dream and continue to help her Pass it on.
