We wanted to send you the “final update” for the 2006 Ride for Kids.

The “Brian Challenge” raised over $800 and in total we raised over $8000 for pediatric brain tumor research.  Without your valuable support, we would never be able to accomplish all that we have over the past 7 years.  The kids and families of those affected by brain tumors can not thank you enough.   

We wish each of you could see the hundreds of motorcycles parading around Ann Arbor .  It is truly an amazing sight that somehow always makes my eyes wet.  As a brain tumor survivor Katie is a “Ride for Kids Star” and we get to ride at the front of the line of motorcycles with the other 5-6 survivors.  When we turn and see all those cyclists following us, it is just unbelievable.  They are giving of their time and money and most aren’t personally affected. Most of us don’t often think of motorcyclists as the benevolent type and yet they truly are.

 We won’t begin our fundraising efforts for the next Ride for Kids until sometime in 2007.  However, you are free to make a donation to “A Gift for Katie & Friends” at any time throughout the year.
