Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for LEAD THE WAY FUND INC!
Lead the Way Fund, Inc. was established to raise funds in support of disabled U.S. Army Rangers and the families of Rangers who have died, have been injured or are currently serving in harm’s way around the world and provides spouses and children of deceased, disabled or active duty Rangers with assistance for services determined to be vital to the family’s well-being.
The assistance offered by Lead the Way is inspired by the courage and character of Sgt. James J. Regan who was killed in Iraq while serving with honor with Charlie company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
Jimmy was a superstar who graduated from Chaminade and then continued on to Duke where he excelled academically and athletically. Upon graduating he had his pick of Wall Street jobs and lawschool opportunities but he chose to answer a higher calling.
Continuing to demonstrate excellence, Jimmy graduated first in his class in infantry basic combat training, and received the distinction of "Soldier of the Cycle". Moving on through the Basic Airborne course and Ranger Indoctrination Program at Fort Benning.
Jimmy was assigned to company C, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment when he was killed by an IED which targeted his vehicle in northern Iraq in February, 2007. Jimmy served in the 3rd Battalion as machine gunner and gun team leader, and finally fire team leader.
So that Jimmy's legacy may continue, the Lead the Way Fund has been set up in Jimmy's honor. In an effort to raise funds for this amazing cause, I am participating in the TOBAY triathlon on Sunday August 29th. I am hopeful that you will support my fundraising efforts in any way possible. Every contribution counts, irrespective of amount.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
