Hello!! I did it!!!! I did the Boston Marathon 2006. It was long; it was painful; it was exhilarating. Thank you thank you to everyone who came out to the course to support me and the other runners. The crowd definitely drove me -- especially the last 4.5 miles. And again, my motivation was really rooted in the support that you all gave me here. I knew that all over the world, people were cheering for me and thinking of me. I couldn't have done it without you, and thank you so much.
I'm continuing to fundraise until May 1, 2006, so no worries if you still want to sponsor me!! And please don't forget to check out www.reachoutandread.org to see the amazing organization that I trekked 26.2 miles for.

I'm a third year Biology undergrad at Harvard. I love playing the piano, doing the Monday and Tuesday NY Times crossword puzzles (Wednesdays on is too hard), and taking black-and-white photography.
I'm honored to be running for Reach Out and Read (www.reachoutandread.org). My family has always considered education a top, top priority. From day one I was brought up with this enthusiasm towards learning, and I'm so grateful for it. Now, I'm very excited to be able to communicate that enthusiasm to other children/people through ROR. It's true, giving books to kids in pediatric offices is not like finding a cure for colon cancer or building conservation sites to save pandas. But indirectly - it is! These kids are the ones who will become the scientists and conservationists who will make a difference in the future.
ROR is setting a foundation for the future. And that's why I think that ROR's cause is so valuable. Please help me in supporting ROR in their important mission. Thank you in advance! I will be thinking of you and your kindness with every step of the marathon (and trust me, there will be a lot of steps)!!!!
