I have worked for Special Olympics North Carolina for 2 years. Many of you who know me know that I am truly passionate about my work and the mission of the organization. I could not ask for a better job than serving those youth and adults in North Carolina with intellectual disabilities through sports training and competition in 20 different sports. Many of you also know that I recently gained the job responsibility of helping to raise funds for the organization. I am reaching out to my friends and family to help support me by supporting Special Olympics North Carolina through your generous donation.I know many of you are always looking for a good charity for your donation, and I think Special Olympics North Carolina is worthy of that donation. I know many of you have not had the opportunity to truly get to know someone with special needs, but I have had that opportunity. My cousin, Artie, was severely intellectually disabled. I wish I would have known then what I know now about this great organization in order to have given Artie a chance to participate in our Motor Activities Program and allow my family the opportunity to join together with families of other special needs children. Artie will always be missed, but he is a true inspiration in my daily work to serve others just like Artie.
