Keep the Memory Alive
Norman Calvin Casper, known as "Buster" to many of his friends and family, was a beloved son, brother, friend, father, grandfather, uncle and husband. He was an inspiration to many throughout his life, culminating in his faith and perseverance while living with pancreatic cancer for 11 months after being given one month to live by doctors. He passed away peacefully on the morning of January 6, 2011.
Pancreatic cancer is currently the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths, and 75% of people diagnosed die within one year. Norman agreed to take part in newly developed treatments. We believe his intention was not only to extend his own life, but to make a difference in the lives of others who are diagnosed with this disease. People like Norman, who have the courage to participate in trials, provide invaluable insight into developing effective treatments for pancreatic cancer.
Norman has touched so many lives, and we know he would want to continue his legacy by contributing to raising awareness, developing tools for early detection, treatment, and finding a cure.
