Hello Friends and Family, 

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fund raising page and for cheering me on as I train for my first marathon.

Why are you doing this you may ask?  Well the allure of a marathon has always intrigued me, but I was never sufficiently motivated.  This spring during Willow Creek's Celebration of Hope Campaign we were asked to take steps to identify with the poor of the world.  For one, we packed dried meals that would be sent to Africa.  Another way to help was to raise money, and running the marathon through World Vision is a great way to help.

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
