Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Special Olympic athletes live in the same society as you and I. However, they face it with additional challenges. Many of the opportunities available to us are not available to them without support from others. Special Olympics is a program designed to help athletes achieve success - not just the success of winning a medal - but success in our society. The self confidence gained from the Special Olympic program often leads the athletes to believe that same effort will help them in education, job training, and social developement. The end goal of the program is to show both the athletes and our society in general that people with special needs can be contributing members of our shared society. That's where you and I come in. We can support this program.
On October 20th I will (again) be charging off into the icy waters of Brown's Lake to raise funds for this very worthy program. Here is the written version of what the various parts of my body scream out each time I "volunteer" for "The Plunge" @#!$%^%$#@!#$% and *&%^$%^&&# !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which loosley translated means - AGAIN??!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!??!!
As you know the "POLAR PLUNGE" is my least favorite fund raising event of all time (for obvious reasons). As you also know, I love it and will continue to participate as long as you will continue to support the Special Olympic program with a contribution that benefits so many athletes and families. And here's a litlle extra incentive for you to dig a bit deeper this year... Joelle & I will match the amount of your donation that exceeds last year's. (That includes the new folks who are making a contribution this year that did not hop on last year's bandwagon). Be sure to turn up the volume & check out the video. It's your donation at work. Dig deep and enjoy my pain. Thank-you!!! Keith
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. You may also send a check payable to:
