Greetings friends, family, classmates, colleagues!

Throughout our lives we tend to take our wellness for granted, while others that are disabled focus on their wellness. I have grown up with friends who have disabilities.  I understand the challenges they are faced with. From the quality of their care, education, and general well being there is always a need for assistance for both the family and the child.  As we all grow older and have children of our own, we pray for the wellness of our children. I am blessed with children that are well. Not all children are born well and some children develop disabilities as they grow. The Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center is dedicated to supporting family’s with disabilities. Their support helps families not only cope with their disabilities, but helps them live to their optimal potential.

I am running my first race since high school, which was the hundred yard relay. This year’s Boston Marathon, April 19, 2010,  is my first timed race as an adult and will be the farthest I have ever run.  I cannot think of a better reason for my first marathon than to raise funds for a great cause.  I am excited the Boston Marathon is my first, as we have fond memories of Massachusetts. I have driven all over the route for many different reasons, we even lived on the route through Natick.

I am also taking with me on this run, the joy and sadness of my family and friends that are surviving great lives despite their disabilities, they are my hero’s….

I am dedicated to breaking my required goal of $2500, and I am personally asking each of you to offer what you can. If 250 people donate just $10.00 we will make the minimum.  I am encouraging each and every one of you who receives this note to donate and share this great cause with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your contribution and your time and consideration is greatly appreciated,

Keith
