This isn't the story of my mom - this is the story of her family who in the face of her death took their grief and reached out to others.  This walk is named for my mom but is for every mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, friend and neighbor who has ever fought melanoma.  It is a walk for those who carry on after loss and those who triumph over cancer.  It is not about one person, it is about all people.  It is a day for strangers to become a community and change lives.
