Hi friends and family,
I'm participating in the Foundry UMC MOPS Walk. This is my third year in Mothers Of Preschoolers and my first year as a discussion group leader. This group has allowed me to meet some of the most amazing women. I have been proud to be part of an organization that ministers to moms and is highly involved in community service projects.
At our last meeting, we made blankets to donate to Project Linus, an organization that distributes blankets to children in hospitals, shelters, and social service agencies. We also support Operation Christmas Child each year and offer scholarships to Moms that otherwise could not join our MOPS group.
We have recently become involved with a group called Young Lives as well. This group is a ministry of Young Life and is specifically tailored for teen Moms. Once a month, YoungLives club provides a place for teen moms to come together to have fun, build friendships and hear a message about real life and God’s love. Food, activities, music and childcare are a part of every club meeting. We have specifically been involved in providing childcare for these wonderful young women.
Obviously these activities and scholarships eat up a lot of our budget. That is why we have this fundraiser every year. Please support our organization so we may continue to participate in community outreach programs as well as minister to our moms. Your donations are a blessing to us all!
