Kelly Rodrigue's Fundraising Page
Please join us on Sunday, September 13, 2009 for the 11th Annual Walk to Cure Cancer. The five mile walk-a-thon raises money to support research at UMass Memorial Cancer Center at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. The Walk is proudly sponsored by the working families of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO. Now, in its 11th year, over 50,000 walkers have joined the Walk to Cure Cancer and raised nearly $6 million.
Walk in honor of those who have battled cancer, and help support the research to help others in their fight. For more information visit www.walktocurecancer.org
My Message:
In 2007 I lost a very dear friend to cancer. She had a hard fought battle, but eventually lost her fight in October 2007. Being one of the closest people to her daughter it effected me in a way I can't explain. My endless love and support for there family is always going to be a part of me. I am joning this team this year to walk in not only in her memory, but in the memory of others I have also lost to this terrible disease. I work in Homecare and Hospice and death is talked about everyday, but I want to do my part to help find a cure so that maybe someday people won't have to suffer like those close to me have had to. I am honored to be a part of this team walking with survivors and to be there to support one of my best friends.
Thank you in advance for any donation you can give, no matter how big or small every bit helps.
Together we can make a difference.
With much love and thanks
