Erik and I first learned of Dogs Deserve Better when we sent out an e-mail for help about a dog down the street from us.  Gypsy had been tied to the tree all day in the direct sun light, with no food, no water and no way to escape the 95 degree sun.  She was on a very short chain, less than 5', and we had to do something for this poor little dog.  After sending the e-mail out we replied to many people willing to help and expressing their sincere concern for her.  After many days of searching for the right place for her, Dogs Deserve Better contacted me to let me know they had an area rep that was willing to take her into his home.  She has been with DDB rep, Terry Mitchell, since 6/10/09 and is doing very well.  She loves her freedom and especially the love she receives from her new people!  She is doing wonderful. 

Thank you so much for any support you can give to Dogs Deserves Better.  They are truly a wonderful organization that works so hard to help every dog.  If you have time, check out the success stories on their website.  It is heartbreaking that people would treat dogs like that, but also wonderful that these dogs had a chance to experience the freedom and love they have always wanted.  Please help more dogs become free!
