For those of you that don't know, my dad had a brain tumor removed in November of 2003. As a result of the surgery he lost his short term memory, which has had an enormous impact on his life and the lives of those around him. Normal, everyday activities - reading a book, watching a movie, practicing a hobby, and even having a job - went from easy and enjoyable to extremely difficult and frustrating for him.

My family is very fortunate and thankful for the Kremples Center -a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with brain injury from trauma, tumor or stroke.

The Krempels Center provides a place where my father can connect with other people living with brain injury. Their programs engage members in meaningful and productive experiences, and provide ongoing support and resources to members and their families.

I am looking forward to this year's event because Abbey (11) and Austin (9) are runnning too to help their grampa!
