Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
In 2009 I started volunteering with Special Equestrians as one of their side walker. As a side walker I assisted riders during their lessons and logged close to 50 volunteer hours. This year I will have the privilege to serve on the Board of Directors where I have the ability to continue help this wonderful organization achieve their short and long term goals!
Special Equestrians, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide high quality therapeutic horseback riding and equine assisted activities to persons with physical, mental, developmental, and emotional disabilities.
Special Equestrians has been providing therapeutic riding lessons to people residing in Jefferson, Shelby and adjacent counties who are diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, traumatic injuries, and many other physical and behavioral disorders since 1985.
