Dear Friends:
On December 12th and 13th I taught Ms. Barson's Drama class at Ammons Middle School! No, it wasn't career day, where I could fall back on telling the kids what I do for a living. Instead, I actually had to learn how to design and deliver a lesson. I even have to figure out how to evaluate if the students learned anything FROM ME!
It was all part of The Education Fund’s 2011 Teach-A-Thon, a walk-a-thon with a twist. I got to walk in the shoes of a teacher! Already, I’ve discovered it’s harder than I ever imagined.
Click on the video below to hear more about my experience!
Now I need YOUR help! I’m asking you to make a donation. Yes, thats right, its time for you to participate too.
With your sponsorship, teachers will:
- Get the supplies they need for their students,
- Purchase teaching aids, inspirational items for students, educational games,
- And, even receive support for field trips, art projects, and innovative hands-on activities.
Join me as we celebrate the many teachers who have changed our lives and pushed us into exciting new paths!
Hurry! Time is running out!
Learn more about the campaign by visiting The Education Fund’s Web site at www.educationfund.org.
And, please sponsor me! Make a tax-deductible contribution to The Education Fund through the Teach-A-Thon. You’ll not only support our teachers, but also invest in our children’s future.
Thank you, in advance, for supporting my volunteer efforts. I promise you will not regret it!
Sincerely,
Kendall
