This is the shelter from which Pearl (then known at Girl) was originally

adopted.  She had been badly abused and was hiding in the very rear

of the shelter.  Anyone who has known her since her adoption and since

becoming my constant companion, knows how adorable she was and

how much happiness she gave to everyone she encountered in her

life.   She possessed such an endearing nature - so gentle, innocent,

trusting, loving, modest, quiet, serene, accepting, faithful, joyful,

loyal, devoted, patient and uncomplaining.  She was the finest "person"

I have ever known.

Her sweet spirit lives on in all of our hearts, and through our donations and

good will, she (and we) can still contribute to a kinder and better world.
