Thanks to my friend, Bill Lagasse, I found out about and will be a rider in the Police Unity Tour 2012. The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of the Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial and Museum. I have met the minimum fundraising requirement of $2000, all other proceeds go directly toward the Law Enforcement Police Officers Fund. The trek on bicycle starts at the World Trade Center Grounds on May 9th, lasting four days covering approximately 300 miles, arriving in Washington, D.C. on May 12th.

I recently contacted members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office and received permission to ride in the memory of Deputy Kurt Wyman who was killed in the line of duty on June 7th, 2011. To find out more about Deputy Kurt Wyman, please go to the following page:
