Thank you for visiting SOGA's fundraising page!
The 2010 State Summer Games are next weekend May 21-23, 2010 at Emory University. With more than 2,000 athletes expected to compete, we need your financial support now, more than ever! Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) is celebrating the 40th Anniversary in 2010 and this is our 23rd year at Emory. Athletes will compete in 9 sports: Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer, Soccer Skills, Table Tennis, Tennis, and Volleyball.
Special Olympics Georgia is part of a larger movement that has improved the lives of millions of people, and along the way, has grown into one of the world’s most powerful and effective social movements. Today, Special Olympics is more than an event: It is a lifetime experience encompassing year-round sports competition, health, education and inclusion opportunities. Today’s Special Olympics is not just for “them,” it is for all of us.
Please click on the "sponsor me now" button to make your tax deductible donation to Special Olympics Georgia to benefit the athletes competiting in State Summer Games. Your donation will help to pay for 2 nights stay, meals for weekend, medals for each athlete, Opening Ceremony, credentials, transportation, equipment, facilities, Olympic Town, and health screenings. Your donation will ensure that SOGA continues to offer programming at no cost to the athletes or their families.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support the fundraising effort.
Many thanks in advance for your support! We hope to see you May 21-23 at Emory to "Be A Fan" in the stands and cheer the athletes on!
