Emma, our daughter, was diagnosed with Down Syndrome the morning after she was born.  Not only were we new to parenting but, we were also emotionally shocked to find out our Emma had special needs.  We were completely unprepared and unaware of what the future would hold for our family.  When Emma was 8 months old, we discovered The Bell Center.  The Bell Center has been an amazing gift to our family and especially our daughter, Emma.  They have taught us so much about how to not only teach Emma in a different way but, they have helped us cope with the needs of our special child.  It has been an emotional roller coaster for our family but, because of the Bell Center we now have such a brighter future for Emma.  It amazes me that this organization operates solely on donations.  And that is where you come in!  The Mercedes Marathon is their largest fundraiser.

This year we have a very close friend of ours running in honor of Emma.  Her name is Kerrie McCracken and this will be her first half marathon.  Nick and I want to thank her for volunteering her time and dedication for such a special cause.  Please help us by donating to The Bell Center so that more families can benefit from their wealth of knowledge and give special families, like us, a brighter future.
