Hi Everyone!
In 2008, I raised $3,000 to run the Boston Marathon for a local Boston charity. Despite the blisters, bumps and bruises, it was one of the happiest and most rewarding days of my life. After a 2-year hiatus from 20-mile training runs, I am ready to do it again and I need your help.
This year, I am aiming to raise $3,500 for the Boston Bruins Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of the Boston Bruins hockey team and employer of my roommate Erin.
The Boston Bruins Foundation is a non-profit foundation whose mission is to assist charitable athletic, academic, health, and community outreach organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children throughout New England. These charitable organizations include the YMCA, Boston Partners in Education, Joslin Diabetes Center; Easter Seals, Children's Hospital and Boy Scouts of America. Since the Foundation’s inception in July 2003, it has raised more than $4 million dollars through a series of fundraising events.
Some suggested levels of giving include:
$26.20 – One dollar for every mile of the marathon
$52.40 – Two dollars for every mile of the marathon
$78.60 – Three dollars for every mile of the marathon
$114 – The number of this year’s Boston Marathon
$350 – My marathon goal time, 3 hours and 50 minutes
It is easy to sponsor me online. Just click the "Sponsor Me Now" box at the top or bottom of the page. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
If you would prefer to send a check, make it payable to “Boston Bruins Foundation” and mail to my attention at:

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
