Weddle Apartment Fire Fundraising Page
Dear Friends:
Nine families, your neighbors in Bethany need your help. On Friday, August 7th, the Weddle Apartments in Bethany was lost to a fire. Nine units were occupied, leaving 21 people homeless.
The Red Cross responded immediately. Our role is to be the safety net for those displaced by disaster. We provide financial assistance through the Disaster Relief Fund for clothing, food, medication, and a safe place to stay. We are helping families develop a recovery plan which may include assistance with beds and bedding and first month’s rent for the family to move into a new home.
All the help we provide is a free gift from the community made possible by your donations for the recovery of your neighbors.
I hope you will help us with a gift to help the families affected by the apartment fire. Our assistance is projected to be at least $7,000.
As America’s disaster relief organization, we appreciate your help for the people affected by disasters, like the recent apartment fire, by donating to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. On those rare occasions when donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
