XX Department Holiday Cause
The XX Department has selected for its Holiday Cause American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
Our goal is to help a family that has a fire over the Holidays. We are working to raise funds for:
Hot meals for a family for a week - $125
Infant Care Kit - $60
A family of 4 with Personal Care Kits - $20
Shoes for a family of four - $80 Our goal is $285
During the Holidays, people’s thoughts turn to helping others. Holiday Cause helps people with their emergency needs after a house fire. The American Red Cross program goes beyond toys and Christmas dinner, providing the basics to a family that lost everything.
Our Holiday Cause provides a safety net for a family after a house fire…and provides food and other basic needs for the family to wake up with on Christmas day and beyond.
The funds raised are used by the American Red Cross to provide financial assistance for a family in need. The cost to help a family of four that loses everything is about $1,585 and your help to fund one or several items is a great help. On average, we will have 10 families in our area that lose their homes to fires between November 1st and Christmas.
