Yes, I've agreed to jump into Lake Champlain in the middle of the winter. Surely, pictures of that stupidity are worth the price of a small donation? I didn't agree to jump in the lake for free beer. I'm raising money for an organization that Leslie and I have been involved with for many years: Special Olympics Vermont. Our friends and neighbors at the Williams House have participated in SOVT basketball, bocce, softball, skiing, snowshoeing, bowling and a host of other sports over the years. Along the way, I have been lucky enough to pick a few new sports myself - and Leslie and I have met some fantastic people of all abilities. As usual, I'm running behind in my planning. The event is next weekend and I'm trying to raise $200.00 in the next three days so that I can have the privilege of freezing my butt off.
