Hello everyone,

After great thought I have decided to participate in this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities, Battle of the Bakers on February 4.  (I'm competing with my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with walnuts, which some of you know and love.)  I know that it was only about six months ago that I asked you to support me in the "Chef of the House" challenge--and I plan to compete in that event again this summer--so I hope you will receive this request with patience and generosity.

As most of you know the RMHC is an organization that is very close to my heart, and I have been involved for more than three years.  Through the volunteer program at Sam's Club in Pooler we have raised thousands of dollars and volunteered hundreds of hours for this great organization that provides comfort and a place to stay for parents with critically ill or injured children.  Many of you have given in the past and it has been greatly appreciated. This year I made a pledge to become more involved at a personal level and hope you will continue to support me and RMHC.
