Dear friends and family,
I am participating in a 3 Notch Cycling ride on September 12th through the 14th of 2005 and covers 100 miles. The funds raised will help support Northeast Passage's cycling program. The itinerary for this trip looks like this: day one will consist of cycling through Franconia Notch and spending the first night at the Highland Center in Crawford Notch, day two will consist of cycling through Crawford Notch and staying at the Grand Hotel in North Conway, and day three will consist of strictly cycling the Kancamagus Highway.
I was first introduced to handcycling in the summer of 1997 when I attended one of Northeast Passage's first handcycling modules. As a result of this module, I purchased a handcycle and still actively use it. Over the years, I have attended numerous handcycling modules with Northeast Passage and am grateful to them for introducing me to the activity. When I'm not working and the weather permits it, I try to handcycle as much as I can. Handcycling is something that I can do independently or with others and I feel really empowered doing it! Handcycling is a great therapeutic recreational activity because it improves an individuals health, strength, and stature!
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Sincerely,
Khrista Matthews
