Mom is going to complete her THIRD half marathon, Lea is back for her SECOND (less than a year after having a baby!), and Kim for her seventh.

Several years back, I wanted to make completing a half marathon something even greater than the accomplishment of running 13.1 continuous miles. I wanted it to represent all of the people who were fighting for their lives because of the ugly C.

Back then, I had my dad as a physical example and source of motivation for me. Today, I keep him in my heart and he still keeps me going... My mom is also an incredible source of inspiration as she demonstrates what life after cancer can be. (Sidenote: She didn't complete her 1st Half until after her diagnosis and surgery to remove cancer from her abdomen.)

Thank you for your support! Because of generous people, like you, Gilda's is able to provide an enormous impact on the people who walk through their red door- myself included. If you're interested to know more about what they do, just let me know. I'm always happy to talk about them.  :)
