Dear____________, On Sat,. April 4th I will be participating in the 9th Annual 6-Hour Ride: Ride for a Reason, to benefit the 776 athletes of Special Olympics Vermont. This high-energy event involves six grueling hours of indoor spinning. I have committed to riding __ hours of this grueling event because I believe in and support the hundreds of athletes from across the state of Vermont who are striving to be their best. The mission of Special Olympics Vermont is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style events for children and adults with cognitive disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
