Cayer Family Fundraising Page

Dear Friends and Family,

This year marks the 10th anniversary of The Children's Room, a charitable organization in our hometown of  Arlington that provides caring support to grieving children, teens and families.

I began volunteering at The Children's Room over four years ago.  During that time, I have helped with the same group that meets every other week.  Each member of our group is grieving a loss, with kids who have had a sibling, mom or dad die, and parents who have experienced the loss of a child or spouse.

At The Children's Room, we are able to help the whole family.  While the parents meet with other parents, the kids have a chance to be with their peers.  Through talking, artwork, physical expression and healing rituals, the children can be together, share their feelings and feel support and acceptance.  I am inspired simply by being with these children as they heal and help each other.  I come home at night after our group, ever more appreciative of my own family.

Please help The Children's Room continue to provide its critical services by supporting our family in this year's Memories Walk.  A donation, in any amount, would help us maintain our programs and further our goal to ensure that no child grieves alone.  Like so many others, this year has been difficult financially for The Children's Room.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and secure.  You can sponsor us below, or If you prefer to donate by check that would be most appreciated as well.  Please make the check out to The Children's Room and send it to our home address at 191 Newport Street, Arlington, MA 02476.  You can also find out more information about The Children's Room at our website, http://childrensroom.org/.

Thank you,

Kim
