We are the parents of two boys, Jack age 8 and Owen age 6, both of which have been identified with ASD or Autism Spectrum Disorder. If you know our boys, you recognize the similar traits of their ASD and also see their many differences. Jack is very musical and has been playing the drums since the age of 2. He is a self taught percussionist and loves watching the Blue Man Group, the Lawerence Welk Show, Riverdance, Josh Groban, Chicago( the band), and anything involving drums:) Owen is our computer "guy" and reader. At the age of 2, he became interested in the alphabet and taught himself to read proficiently by the age of 4. Both boys have a wonderful sense of humor and have put smiles on many people's faces:) On September 26, 2009 we will be walking on behalf of Jack and Owen and for the many other families affected by this diagnosis.
