For those who are unaware, Huntington's disease is an inherited, progressively degenerative brain disorder that affects a person's ability to think, speak and walk. Symptoms include depression, impaired judgment, unsteady gait, involuntary movements, slurred speech, and difficulty swallowing.
Roger was diagnosed with HD on July 24th 2006. Both his brothers have also been diagnosed and the youngest is in an advanced stage of HD. They have been unable to stabilize Mark on his medications and he was recently jailed do to an outburst at his caregiver’s home. It breaks my heart to know that he is so sick and because so many people know so little of this disease he was placed in jail rather then treated for the disease.
I'm asking you to donate again this year to help us find a cure to finally end this ugly disease.
