Jersey Animal Coalition's Fundraising Page
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is for the dogs . . . and cats . . .
or at least we hope so! On July 27th, Charlie & I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro along with our dear friends from London (Mark, Shona, Caitlin, Patch, Kim, Tiggy, Daisy & William!) to raise funds and awareness for Jersey Animal Coalition, our local animal shelter.
Jersey Animal Coalition is one of the few no-kill shelters in the state of NJ. Celebrating their 20th anniversary in October, JAC has found loving homes for over 8,000 dogs and cats. Totally self supporting, Jersey Animal Coalition relies on donations, fees and fundraisers to continue their good work, as they receive no funding from the town, county or state.
“We have read that the best training is extensive hiking, preferably up hills. Therefore, Charlie & I have incorporated our shelter dogs into our training regimen – we strap on an “Adopt Me” jacket to the dogs & take them on long walks up and around the steep hills of the South Orange reservation. It’s great training for us, while at the same time great exercise for those dogs that are particularly energetic. Besides, I just like telling my friends that I am training with Brad Pitt (pit bull that is)!!!”
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
