Welcome to Our Fundraising Woofsite!
Nearly four years ago we were approached to take in a beagle puppy that was left at the post office just days before Christmas. Being raised with dogs, we didn’t hesitate to bring this little guy into our house as a temporary solution… By day two Odie had bowls, blankets, toys, a stocking on the mantel and most importantly a home with us.
Four months after taking him in, we were notified the Franklin County Animal Shelter was over populated and chose to be a part of the solution by adopting a second beagle. After all they are companion dogs and do better with a partner!
Fisher was approximately 15 pounds under weight and very sick. He ended up spending nearly two weeks with Dr. White and the Hudson Corner Animal Hospital crew before he truly made himself a home here. This little guy has been through a lot with us and hard telling what else in his first life. While he still ducks when you raise a hand, hesitates to come toward men with hats or anyone with sunglasses, and knows that yelling is not good; he is the most kind-hearted, gentle spirited dog you’ll ever meet and has grown leaps and bounds. And the best big brother to Lauren – never leaving her side!
Last summer we fostered a female beagle that neighbors decided they couldn’t keep. LG, as in Little Girl, Fisher and Odie and the hundreds of other abused, neglected or left-behind animals are the perfect examples of why we should all support PetPromise.
PetPromise is dedicated to creating a world and a time where there are no more homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization and adoption. And this year we will be run/walking on Saturday, May 23 as a family, to support the mission of PetPromise and we hope you can support our efforts through a donation.
Please join us in donating money for our run/walk and support PetPromise. You can learn more at www.rescuerun.com.
Our four legged friends thank you for your consideration.
With love,
Tim, Kim, Lauren, Odie & Fisher Miller
