Luke Owens' Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Luke and I turned 2 years old in September 2010 and I have Down Syndrome. This year has been an amazing year because I have learned to crawl, walk, say a few words like "ball" and "1,2,3", use my shape sorter, and lots of other great things! I worked so hard and it takes me longer to learn these things because of that extra 21st chromosome but I have a great team of therapists, a wonderful babysitter and loving parents to help me. My parents, Mark and Kim, and siblings, Alex and Molly just love me to pieces and want me to have the best life possible. Please consider supporting me in my Buddy Walk.
The Buddy Walk is on October 9 at the Short Pump Towne Center in Richmond. The funds raised from Buddy Walk support the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond (DSAGR) which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which promotes awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome. You can donate online with a credit card or send in a check. All online donations are secure and sent directly to the DSAGR by Firstgiving, who will email you a printable record of your donation. If you want to send a check, make it payable to "Down Syndrome Society of Richmond" and mail it to: Wixted/DSAGR Buddy Walk, 4400 Chatwell Rd, Midlothian, VA 23113 or mail it to me.
I know times are tough economically, so any amount you're able to donate is much appreciated. Every dollar counts!
