Kima Spaulding's Fundraising Page
Let me tell you what inspired me to open up this page. As 2009 came to an end I thought that I had over come a huge physical challenge by completeing the Chicago Marathon, but I was humbled to realize that was nothing. I know two young mothers who were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. One of those women is my cousin. When she called I felt helpless as I listened. Yet, she was concerned at how I would feel if I heard it from someone else not her. I thought how selfless of her to be thinking of me at a time like this. The little things in my life that bothered me seemed so unimportant. This is what has led me to take my running and to do it for others. There are many women in our lives that inspire us in so many ways who have been affected by breast cancer. Rather they have had it, passed on, or had to say good bye to someone because of it. The CaringBridge is an awesome tool that has been provided but we need to keep it going. Please take the time to donate and to pass this on to others. There are 126 days until May 16, 2010 and if one person a day donates $5.00 by then our goal will be met. Think of what $5.00 will do for someone who needs to communicate or hear from the ones that love them. As I take the time to train and to run the marathon I will be praying for those who have been affected by breast cancer. If you happen to be at a race wear pink and show support for the cause. I just want to thank you for taking the time to read this. If you cannot donate please just take the time to say a prayer.
I will update this website as time goes on, please come back and visit this page.
God Bless,
Kima Spaulding
