Dear Friends,

The past 2 years of my life has been turned upside down due to a debilitating disease called Lyme Disease.  It wasn't bad enough that I've been fighting for my life, but both of my little ones have been diagnosed with this disease through in-vitro, so the three of us are on intensive - expensive antibiotic therapy.  I've come to terms with my disease but "not my kids"!  We may look ok and healthy to you, but everyday we are fighting a war inside of our bodies.  I'll never forget the day on my death bed that they figured out what was wrong with me after being hospitalized, only to be sent home with no answers.  Great, I thought, I have Lyme Disease, give me the medication to get better and let me get on with my life.................  Well, never in a million years did I think I would have to keep the battle going every day for the rest of my life.  I am MUCH better now that I have been treated for the past 2 years on various antibiotic regimens and IV antibiotics, but my life will never be the same as I have lost so much valuable time with my children being sick.  I refuse for this disease to rule my life or my childrens.  I will turn this poision into medicine and fight the fight.  I have to for my kids, I can't imagine them going through their daily fight like their mom and I believe it's my mission to help bring awareness to the medical community and help in finding a cure, if not in my time, then in my childrens!

On Sunday, September 27th, 2009 I am involved with a walk to fight Lyme disease in our 1st Annual TURN THE CORNER FOUNDATION Create Footprints Walk at Independece Grove in Libertyville, Il.   I hope you can either walk with us or donate to this very important cause.  I am asking for your help in our fight against Lyme Disease.  I know times are tough for all of us, but it's even more difficult for Lyme patients affected by the disease and it's expenses.
