Building a Future for Karnei Shomron

"Just $7,000 will provide a home for a young couple in Karnei Shomron."

The Government of Israel has frozen all building in Karnei Shomron, leaving young new married couples from the community with the dilemma of where to call home. This is especially difficult right now with young Karnei Shomron couples getting married at an astounding rate, more than 100 each year.

  One of the quickest and most effective ways to bypass the freeze is to erect a mobile home site — since it is, by definition, temporary, and does not fall into the same category as the building freeze. 

The initial stage calls for 20 such homes, to be expanded to a total of 50.  They will be located in a lovely wooded area in the center of the community and there will be a playground on site for the children as well.  With the establishment of this mobile home site, young couples will be able to call Karnei Shomron home.

Total Funds Required: $150,000
     20 mobile homes at $7,000 each; and a small playground for $10,000.

Karnei Shomron: Founded more than 30 years ago, Karnei Shomron is one of the first Jewish communities to be established in Samaria, and today home to close to 7,500 people.
