Support Children's Literacy-Project Need to READ

Thanks for supporting Healthy Notion's efforts to improve children's literacy!  Please join Healthy Notions as we raise funds for Project Need to READ.

The purpose of Project Need to READ is to stimulate creative thinking, build literacy skills, and self-esteem in elementary school children through the performing arts. This program will enhance the overall academic, emotional, and behavioral performance of its participants.

Through this exciting community-based literacy enrichment program, children will hear engaging books read aloud--or read them independently--and make connections to their own lives. They express their feelings and grapple with big ideas through 1) discussion, 2)drama, 3)art/music, 4)movement, and 5)writing.

This project is community-based and supported/funded solely through charitable in-kind donations, financial gifts and private grants from Healthy Notions supporters!  Your donations allow us to acquire books, materials/supplies, snacks for the kids, rent space and cover necessary operating costs for this program.
