Hi, We are Charlie, Lily, Kim & John Sykora. We are participating in the 7th Annual Cure SMA Walk & roll on Saturday, October 6, 2007 in honor of Charlie who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). We are going to walk, run or roll to help raise money to find a cure.
SMA is a genetic disease that destroys the nerves controlling muscle movement which affects crawling, walking, head and neck control, swallowing and breathing. Currently, there is no cure or treatment for SMA.
BUT A TREATMENT OR CURE IS ON THE HORIZON....88 cents of every dollar raised goes to SMA research. We are asking for your help. FSMA has previously funded 20 million dollars toward SMA research and has committed an additional 15 million over the next 3 years.
Thank you for visiting our Personal Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
TOGETHER WE WILL FIND A CURE!
