Hi, my name is Gabby Kissinger and I am co-captain of the 2008 girls’ varsity tennis team at O’Fallon Township High School. Five years ago my family was devastated when my dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was cancerous. After major surgery and months of chemotherapy, he is now cancer-free. Once he recovered, my Dad made it his mission to raise money and awareness for brain cancer research. He has been an inspiration to me and many others. As a family, we have supported and assisted my dad in his fundraising efforts. Now I am asking you to do the same with an idea of my own.
On Sunday, November 16th at the O’Fallon Township High School courts we are hosting Serving for a Cure to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Each participant will collect donations or pledges before the event, then they’ll have 15 minutes of court time to get as many serves in as possible. We are working on an indoor location in the event of inclement weather and will let you know as soon as the specifics are finalized.
Please participate and work with me to raise as much research money as we can to help find a cure for kids with brain tumors and cancer.

Update 30 Nov 08: It was a success! With your generous donations we exceed our goal of $1,500...BUT we are not done yet. I have some other ideas to raise research funds through the end of the year. This donation site will remain open until 31 December. Thank you! Gabby
