Our Meghan was born December 11, 2000. She was an alert baby, so very sweet. We knew she was also very special; we knew Meghan had Down Syndrome.

Meghan had some health challenges her first 2 years, but she has overcome them and is a healthy 4 years old. She has had eye surgery to correct strabismus and dental surgery.
She is a determined and funny little girl who likes to act out scenes in her favorite movies, playing with the dog and cat, and going to pre-school. We have gone to every Buddy Walk since Meghan was born, and we enjoy them every year. This is the first year we set a fundraising goal. All money raised helps adults and children with Down Syndrome in the Tucson and surrounding areas. One in 800 babies is born each year with Down Syndrome making it one of the most common genetic syndromes. Over 800,000 people with Down Syndrome live in the United States. They have dreams and goals for their lives like everyone else. It may take them longer to achieve them, but they can and do! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
