What is Cystic Fibrosis?
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited, chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of nearly 30,000 individuals in the United States, and 70,000 people worldwide.
In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Because of tremendous donor support to non-profit organizations like Miles for Cystic Fibrosis, advances in research and medical care have been able to extend and enhance the lives of all people with CF.
Today, many people with the disease can expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond, thanks to the generous support of donors like you. Our goal is to continue raising funds UNTIL THE CURE IS FOUND.
