As all of you know I am very passionate about Hospice.  It is because of Hospice that my grandfather, Dada, was able to have his final wish and be at home when he died.  He was comfortable, peaceful and was surrounded by his family, which made all the difference to him...and to us, as well.  Recently Seth's Uncle Ken received Hospice services, and was able to be at home in peace during his final days.  Every day Hospice services help lighten the load for someone during one of life's most difficult times  This year I will be walking in memory of Dada and Uncle Ken, in hopes that that by doing so I keep their memory alive, and also increase the awareness about Hospice services.  

For the past 4 years I have been employed at Gulfside Regional Hospice and I feel blessed everyday to be able to do what I do.  Each day as a bereavement counselor I walk with children and families on their journey through grief; companioning them on their journey as they seek healing is an honor, and something I love doing.  At Gulfside all of our bereavement services are free to anyone in need and we are able to do that through community support, donations, and from funds raised through events like this!  You can make a donation in memory of your loved one!  Every little bit helps someone else in need!
