StandUp for Kids Worcester - Outreach Center
StandUp for Kids Worcester Needs Your Help!
Our 2009 Goal is an Outreach Center
The StandUp for Kids Worcester program currently does street outreach in Worcester. We help out kids that may need immediate resources such as food, medical care and clothes, and long-term resources such as housing, GED programs, and job employment.
Now that the winter months have arrived, we are seeing a growing need for an outreach center – a place for young adults to stop in, relax, and talk to our counselors about GED programs, housing information, and job employment support. Kids would also be able to have a bite to eat, pick up clothing and hygiene supplies, wash their clothes, and just take a break from the streets.
Our goal in 2009 is to raise enough money to maintain an outreach center. Even if you are unable to provide a monetary contribution, there are plenty of other ways to help. We also need:
- An outreach center in the downtown area
- Volunteers to assist in the center when it opens, whether as office support or an outreach counselor.
- Office supply donations
- People to spread the word about this organization – every voice matters!
