The Romp will be held at 2:30pm at Asphalt Green in NYC. It is a day of family fun including music, games, arts & crafts, and more. It will be a special day to raise awareness and funds for the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment foundation. We hope you can join us! For further information please visit www.RompForResearch.com
The DSRTF is currently funding many exciting projects at research institutions across the country, including Johns Hopkins University and Stanford University The studies are designed to develop therapies which will improve the cognitive abilities of individuals with Down Syndrome, thus helping them to lead more independent lives. You can learn more at www.dsrtf.org.
Sal has made such exciting progress this year. He is a stroing, curious, and quite charming 2 year old! He is now a confident walker who delights in chasing Sabrina and Michael around the house. He uses 20-25 signs with accuracy and is beginning to use language, his favorite word is "car." This September, Sal will begin a toddler program at Blythedale Children's Hospital where he will receive special instruction with infant-toddler developmental specialists, along with continued physical, occupational, and speech therapies. We are inspired and encouraged by his advances and believe that, with a little help, Sal will exceed expectations.
We are so grateful for your support, and for any donation you can make to our fundraising effort for the DSRTF.
With love,
Kristy, Michael, Sabrina, Mikey & Salvatore Mangone
