Most of you know I am running the Marine Corp Marathon, on October 26th, 2008 in Washington, DC.  I am very excited to run my first full marathon and to raise money for the National Lung Cancer Partnership. 

Lung cancer is known as the "silent killer" due to inadequate screening that leads to late detection.   Lung cancer kills 84% of newly diagnosed patients within 5 years!

Did you know that approx. 50% of people diagnosed with lung cancer have never smoked or are former smokers?  And what about the other 50% who do smoke?  They deserve our support as well.

I am excited to run these 26.2 miles and raise money for lung cancer research!
