kylee acord's fundraising page
Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. We are raising money for the Buddy Walk and all proceeds go to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St.Louis.
Now let me tell you a little bit about Kylee's story. Kylee has proven over and over again that she is a little girl with a lot of fight! When I was 13 weeks pregnant Kylee was given a 5% survival rate and it was recommended that we end the pregnancy. We believed that God would take care of her and decided to take that 5% chance and run with it. She was born 3 weeks early and was in a hurry. She spent 9 days in the NICU at Children's hospital and fought through feeding problems and drops in her heart rate. It was very hard for her to gain weight and at 5 months she had only put on 4 lbs. She was on 4 different medications, one for acid reflux, and was made to eat every 3hrs. She still had a smile on her face throughout all of this. On April 10th the dreaded day had came- open heart surgery to repair complete A/V Canal. She came through with flying colors and only spent 4 days in the hospital. She truely is our miracle baby and we are so blessed to have her in our lives and lucky enough to call her our daughter.
Just wan't to update everyone on Kylee. She just had a cardiologist apt and she has complications from her surgery. The patch that was placed to fix the hole in her upper chambers has started to come off. This means that our little angel will have to endure the surgery one more time this summer. Please keep her in you thoughts and prayers!
Now we are trying to help an organization that was there for us through all of it and to help fight for families just like ours. These children are truely miracles and we need to make everyone aware of this. Please help us achieve this goal by sponsering us and donating to this wonderful cause.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
