Join the 2009 This Side Up™ RUN FROM SIDS Fundraising Challenge
Presented by the Hayes Foundation
The official non-profit of the Capitol 10 Miler
Capitol 10M – October 3, 2009 (7:00-10:00 a.m.)
More than 2,500 American babies die of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) each year. Here in Virginia, SIDS claims nearly 100 babies each year. The This Side Up Fundraising Challenge offers an opportunity to help save our babies.
We’re aligning ourselves with the inaugural Capitol 10M, a 10-mile race that starts in downtown Richmond and meanders through some of the area’s most beautiful sights and sounds. For more information visit www.rrrc.org.
You can help us by raising funds for the This Side Up campaign, an educational effort that reminds anyone who watches after a baby that babies are safest from the risk of SIDS if placed to sleep on their backs by distributing onesies that read “This Side Up…While Sleeping” on the front and offer additional safe-sleeping tips on the back. By year’s end, we expect to have reached 100,000 families since the This Side Up campaign launched in 2006. Help us raise awareness of SIDS and save our babies.
