I am walking for our good friend's daughter, Izabelle. She was diagnosed with a Solitary Kidney in August 2007 just 3 days after she was born, if that wasn’t enough, we found out eleven days later she was in kidney failure. She has had weeks of dialysis, 9 surgeries and countless amounts of blood work, cat scans, ultrasounds, doctor visits, hospital stays and emergency room visits. Izabelle’s last surgery was over a year ago but we still face obstacles with her. She is very tiny compared to any other 3.5yr old. She now sees a hormone specialist on top of the Nephrologists a few times a year to monitor her growth and kidney function.
