Marathon In Memoriam Hi,On May 17, 2008, I am running the Ogden Marathon in Utah. Along with the physical and mental benefits that come with training for such an endeavor, I'd like my efforts to go toward supporting the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, in memory of my Aunt Barbara Hendrix.Barbara passed away on June 11, 2006 at the age of 55 after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a generous, genuine, kind-hearted woman--beautiful and full of class. Barbara taught elementary school for over 20 years and has influenced hundreds of children and adults.If she were here today, I know my aunt would be full of encouragement and enthusiasm for my upcoming race. I always felt her interest in my life. Now I want to show my interest in hers.
